Thank you to all those who volunteered, participated in, or attended our Fall
Fun Fest and Pringle 5K Trail Run and Hike. It was a very successful day for
both events and we are very grateful to all those who helped out.

2010 will be different than in previous years. Save the dates! September 18th
will be the Fall Fun Fest and November 6th will be the 5K Run/Hike. If you are

11:30 - 12:15 Insect Scavenger Hunt (prairie) See how many different insects you
can find using a sweep net
12:30 - 1:15 Naturalist-led Hike along Bristol Woods Interpretive Trail (meet at
the rain garden) Ever wonder what those numbers along the trail meant? Join us
as we talk about the plants, animals, and people that made this place so special
1:30 - 2:00 Monarch Tag and Release (campfire ring) We've been raising Monarch's
during the summer, now we will release them to start their migration. As part of
the Monarch Watch program, we will be tagging them before releasing to help aid
in research
2:15 - 3:00 Autumn Scavenger Hunt and Collage Making (patio) Start out on the
patio to get your scavenger hunt sheet to look for objects in the woods. When
you come back to the nature center, use supplies to create your own Eco-Art
collage
The Pringle Nature Center facility can be booked for private programs, meetings
and parties. If you are interested in our staff hosting a school field trip,
birthday party or other program you can send a request using our program request
forms Either form can be submitted it to the PNC by
email
or by mail.
