The Pringle
Nature Center building is located within the 197
acre Bristol Woods County Park. The Bristol
Woods County Park is located on County MB in
between County C and County Q in the Town of
Bristol.
This beautiful
park contains upland forest, wetlands, oak
savanna remnants, prairie and lawn areas to
explore. Within the woods are four miles of
trails that are used for bird and wildlife
observation, nature education walks, hiking and
cross county skiing.
The nature center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. During the
winter months, if Kenosha Unified is closed, the nature center will not be open.
Patrons can rent snowshoes Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and
Sunday, 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. They must remain on the property and be returned
by 3:30 p.m. Snowshoes are $5.00/pair and poles are $2.00/pair. No reservations required, but a driver’s license or some other form of ID is required as deposit which must be left
at front desk along with a completed waiver form. There must also
be at least 3 inches of snow on the ground to use the snowshoes.
